Andrew LoewenIn 2008, I graduated from the University of Kansas a much different person than when I first began. I got involved with The Navigators and with the help of more mature men in the faith and God's grace, my eyes were opened to see the glory of Christ in the gospel and God gave me a heart for reaching college students.
I am
officially moved into my apartment in Lawrence and gearing up as the semester begins.
The students began arriving on August 16 with school starting on August 19. I
am very excited to begin the new ministry that God has for me here at KU. I am
a part of four new Navigator staff that will be joining the two couples that
are already here. With 30,000 students and 125 involved with The Navigators,
the more staff the merrier.
My responsibilities here will include:
1. Helping
freshmen/new students engage with Scripture and each other in order to grow in
their faith and be a part of gospel-centered community.
2. Encourage
and equip our student leaders that will lead Bible studies
3. Lead a
Bible study, disciple, and look for every opportunity to engage non-Christian
students with Christ's love
Here are some ways you can be praying:
1. The staff
team
2. The first
month. It is crucial in recruiting new students to Bible studies and getting
momentum for the rest of the year
3. Students
would be open to the gospel and that us staff will have the courage to proclaim
it with clarity
4. My
funding. I'm at 70% and would love to be up to 100% in the next month.
Thank you for your prayer and support. It is because of your partnership that all this is possible. Grace and Peace.
