Jesus told us, "...a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24) This is the goal of our worship ministry at Grace - to worship God in spirit, engaging our emotions and all that is within us, and to worship Him in truth, as we learn more about Him and His Word. While we desire to worship as a lifestyle, music is a core part of worship. One of our corporate values is celebrative worship, and so we sing today's contemporary songs of celebration using multiple instruments and vocalists. But we also value the rich teaching heritage and depth of the timeless hymns of the faith, and so our worship leader will frequently include creative traditional as well as contemporary music. Everyone worships in his or her own unique way – for
many, that means singing and clapping along; and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re encouraged to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
